Valentine’s Day is not the only date to get the heart racing

Pubs, bars and clubs will be hoping that Valentine’s Day provides plenty of romantic match-ups – and BT Sport is doing its bit in that department too.
With a full round of Premier League fixtures plus the start of the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, we are filling February with football.
Here are some key dates for the diary…

We’ve got a full midweek schedule in early February, which will see every Premier League team live on BT Sport, in the space of just three days. It starts with big-spending Newcastle hosting Everton, in a battle between two big clubs facing trouble at the wrong end of the table. Watford and Burnley are back on BT with clashes against Champions League chasing West Ham and Man Utd.

Wolves vs Arsenal

Leicester put a dent in Liverpool’s title bid at the end of last year so the Anfield outfit will be keen to get one over former boss Brendan Rogers. Meanwhile, Wolves welcome Arsenal as the clubs compete for European places.

Saturday 12 February
Man Utd vs Southampton

The football continues on the weekend with a tasty lunchtime encounter between one Ralf and another. Man Utd’s Ralf Rangnick welcomes Saints and their boss Ralph Hasenhuttl to Old Trafford.
Saturday 19 February
West Ham vs Newcastle
12.30pm
Can West Ham keep the Champions League dream alive? Will the Magpies escape the drop? There’s plenty to play for at the London Stadium.
Saturday 26 February
Leeds vs Spurs
12.30pm
Our final lunchtime game of the month will see Spurs head to Elland Road to face a Leeds side finding that second season in the Premier League a little trickier than the first.

Tuesday 15 February
PSG vs Real Madrid
Sporting vs Man City
It’s knockout time as the UCL reaches the Round of 16 and we are kicking off with a blockbuster on BT Sport. PSG and Real Madrid have 13 UCL titles between them. The problem for the Paris side is that they all belong to Real. To finally nab the big one, they’ll need to overcome a resurgent Real.
Man City are also a big club with a Champions League trophy shaped space in their cabinet. They’ll be favourites to progress against Sporting.

Inter vs Liverpool
Salzburg vs Bayern
Liverpool won six out of six in the group stages. Can they continue their red hot European form at the San Siro?
Tuesday 22 February
Villareal vs Juventus
Chelsea vs LOSC
Champions Chelsea will fancy their chances against a Lille side languishing in the mid-table in Ligue 1.
Wednesday 23 February
Atletico vs Man Utd
Benfica vs Ajax
Of the four Premier League sides left in the competition, Man Utd look to have the toughest task to qualify. They face the wily old Spaniards, led by Diego Simeone.

Napoli vs Barcelona

Rangers fans have two massive nights to look forward to in February, with this tie against the Bundesliga giants. If you want a second option, Barca vs Napoli ticks a lot of boxes.
