Make your place home for those European nights

European football is already delivering this season – and a ball’s not been kicked in the group stages of the competitions yet.

It’s not even three months since Chelsea lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy for the second time in their history – but we’ve got some absolute stunners to look forward to.

How about a little bit of Man City versus PSG to fill your venue on a midweek night, or Liverpool versus AC Milan, or Bayern facing Barca… this list really does just go on.

There’s so much to look forward to in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, not to mention the launch of the UEFA Conference League.

And you can show every game live on BT Sport.

Here’s just some of what’s coming up in September.

UEFA Champions League

Tuesday September 14

Young Boys vs Manchester United

5.45pm

Young Boys could face the prospect of having to deal with an elder statesman making his return to the Red Devils. Can Ronaldo roll back the years and inspire Manchester United to another Euro triumph? They start with an early kick off, which means pubs and clubs have an amazing double bill to kick off this season’s UCL.

Chelsea vs Zenit

8pm

The champions start their campaign on the opening night against the Russian champions. Meanwhile, over in Spain at the same time there’s a meeting of European giants as Barcelona welcome Bayern Munich.

Wednesday September 15

Man City vs Leipzig

8pm

There’s no doubting that Man City and PSG are the two heavyweights in Group A but the Germans – who reached the semis (and lost to PSG) as recently as 2020, will be out to spoil the party. Can City finally get their hands on the trophy that has eluded them?

Liverpool vs AC Milan

8pm

It’s a repeat of that fabled 2005 UCL final – and the 2007 one that Liverpool fans remember less fondly – in front on a packed house at Anfield. This is what UCL nights are all about. At the same time, Milan’s city rivals Inter will be involved in another glamorous looking tie against Real Madrid.

Tuesday September 28

PSG vs Man City

8pm

We’re not sure games can get much bigger than this in the group stages. Messi and Neymar (plus one or two others) reunite with Pep Guardiola in a battle between two big spenders who are desperate to land the ultimate prize in European football. Hold onto your hats.

Porto vs Liverpool

8pm

Liverpool face a tough away trip against former UCL champions Porto. With Atletico also in Group B, points in this could be essential to qualification. The Spaniards take on AC Milan at the same time.

Wednesday September 29

Man Utd vs Villarreal

8pm

We have a repeat of last season’s UEFA Europa League to look forward to in the UCL group stages. Can United gain a semblance of revenge for that penalty shootout defeat?

Juventus vs Chelsea

8pm

Here’s another absolute monster of a tie to look forward to. The Old Lady welcomes the champions of Europe to Turin. It should be quite the occasion, even with Ronaldo now back in Manchester.

UEFA Europa League

Thursday September 16

5:45pm

Real Betis vs Celtic

GNK Dinamo vs West Ham

West Ham return to the main draw of a European competition for the first time in 15 years with an away trip to Croatia. Meanwhile Napoli visit the King Power and Rangers and Celtic both have tough looking ties against French and Spanish opposition respectively.

Thursday September 16

8pm

Rangers vs Lyon

Leicester vs Napoli

Thursday September 30

5.45pm

Sparta Prague vs Rangers

Legia Warsaw vs Leicester

8pm

Celtic vs Leverkusen

West Ham vs Rapid Vienna

There’s a chance to go back-to-back with the Glasgow clubs or Leicester and West Ham (or a combination of the two) on Matchday 2. Celtic’s clash with Leverkusen could be the pick of the bunch.

Europa Conference League

Thursday September 16

5.45pm

Rennes vs Spurs

Thursday September 30

8pm

Spurs vs Mura

Spurs kick off the group stages of the newly formed Europa Conference League with a trip to Rennes before welcoming the champions of Slovenia to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
