Premier Picks: The big games heading your way

The title challengers are all live on BT Sport this November and December

The nights are drawing in and the end of the year is nigh – but don’t be down, because there’s plenty of Premier League action to enjoy before we merrily toast in 2018.

And there are few better ways to get customers in from the cold than with a warm atmosphere, a welcoming pint and some top-class football.

Between now and the end of December we have matches featuring all the title contenders, those fighting for European places and the clubs doing their very best to stay in the Premier League.

We get going this weekend with a double whammy. Liverpool travel to West Ham on Saturday and we stay in the capital for some potential fireworks between Spurs and Palace the following day.

Here are a few Premier Picks to give your customers more good reasons to pay you a visit.

Manchester United v Newcastle United

Saturday, November 18, 5.30pm

Rafa would ‘love it’ if Newcastle could get a win over Mourinho and United, so would the travelling army of Geordies who will help create a feisty atmosphere. They’ll probably go more in hope than expectation though, having only won at Old Trafford once since 1972.

Liverpool v Chelsea

Saturday, November 25, 5.30pm

Ghost goals, unfortunate slips and a host of other memorable moments. This is one of those fixtures that always seems to drum-up drama. Where better to watch two giants slug it out under the floodlights than in a nice warm pub or bar?

Arsenal v Manchester United

Saturday, December 2, 5.30pm

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – NOVEMBER 19: Jose Mourinho, Manager of Manchester United (L) and Arsene Wenger, Manager of Arsenal (R) both look on during the Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford on November 19, 2016 in Manchester, England. When Arsenal beat Man Utd 2-0 in this fixture last season it ended a long period of Mourinho dominating Wenger. Those two have been involved in plenty of spats over the years and the antics on the touchline could almost be as intriguing as this match-up between two of the biggest names in English football.  Pizza, anyone?

Man City v Spurs

Saturday, December 16, 5.30pm

If this match was a drink it could be a chilled glass of champagne, followed by a Jager Bomb. The masterful City take on a classy Spurs side that will be energetic and keen to provide a shock. Probably best to let your customers choose what to drink. We’ll focus on the football.

Crystal Palace v Swansea

Sunday, December 31, midday

No doubt you’ll have plenty of plans for the night of the 31st but this match should pull in a little extra lunchtime trade. Both Palace and Swansea will be looking for a victory to make New Year’s Eve a taste little sweeter and to help their resolution to stay in the division.
