He’s barely been out of the news since he last fought, which makes it even more incredible to think that Tyson Fury has not been in the ring for more than two years.
The Gypsy King’s last outing was in November 2015 when he outscored then heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in a fight that put him and British boxing firmly back in the public eye.
Since then the division and the sport in general has grown hugely in popularity, not least with pub audiences.
And now, after a long wait, Fury returns to the ring in a clash that is being shown exclusively live on BT Sport.
Thousands of pubs are expected to tune in as the 6ft 9ins star takes on Sefer Seferi on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena.
Here are a few things to consider ahead of that that first bell.
It’s a big word in boxing and it should play an important part in the pub too. Word of mouth, posters and social media all have a job to do in letting people know you are showing the boxing.

When that bell goes you will want a packed pub but there is still time to spread the word. Don’t be afraid of posting more than once. Around 6,000 tweets get posted every second so it doesn’t hurt to have a few messages out there, whatever platform you use.
Be prepared to be busy
A great fight can create an unrivalled atmosphere so ensure you have enough staff on to handle the occasion. Live boxing still attracts a primarily male audience, so ensure you are stocked appropriately drink-wise.
Lee Price, general manager at the Royal Pier in Aberystwyth and former BII Licensee of the Year, said boxing has been a big driver of trade in recent years.
“We have become known as a destination venue for boxing and as the interest has grown we have noticed that more of our competitors are seeing it as a viable revenue stream.
“It never fails to draw a big crowd and the interest in the heavyweight division now is as big as it has been since the days of Tyson, Bruno and Lewis,” he said.
Big fights can attract big crowds so think about how you will fit everyone in. You could potentially ticket events or provide ‘ringside seats’ with table service near to the big screens.
Show the undercard
With boxing you can never be sure if you are in for a first round knockdown or a 12-round slugfest. To ensure everyone is ready for the Fury fight ramp up the atmosphere with the undercard. Saturday’s line-up includes Terry Flanagan taking on Maurice Hooker for the vacant WBO super-lightweight world title.
Become famous for boxing
Get the atmosphere and the details right on Saturday and you can put yourself firmly on the map in your area as the place to watch boxing. There’s plenty of it coming your way too with Carl Frampton and Billy Joe Saunders among the fighters appearing on BT Sport.
