1. The Players
With more than 190 teams taking part this year, thousands of players had the chance to step out at pro stadiums. Not that everyone seemed to know where they were supposed to be…

We witnessed some crackers up and down the land. This one took the Hole in the Wall, Armagh, through to the semi-finals in Manchester.

But this is pub football, so not everyone was quite as hot in front of goal.
7. The penalty shoot outs
We had them at heats all over the country but perhaps the most dramatic came in the semi-finals at Manchester when The Golden Hind knocked out The Wheatsheaf.

There were some fantastic stops and, like this, some that were a little more unconventional.

One of the joys of the Pub Cup is getting to play at, or just visit, some of the greatest grounds in the land. Playing at the home of the champions of England made the semi-finals a special day for many.
